Their vision is to recruit and empower volunteers to reflect God’s restorative and inclusive love within the criminal justice system and wider society, to foster healthier communities.
Community Justice Initiatives Association is a community-based non-profit society located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. The organization has over 25 years of experience providing conflict resolution services in such settings as the criminal justice system, organizations, schools, businesses, and for private individuals.
Building partnerships in Canada and overseas to transform violence and oppression. Christian Peacemaker Team‘s vision is a world of communities that together embrace the diversity of the human family and live justly and peaceably with all creation.
With A Rocha Canada‘s local centre located in Surrey, BC, A Rocha is an international Christian organization which, inspired by God’s love, engages in scientific research, environmental education and community-based conservation projects. Their vision is the transformation of people and places into healthy communities through a movement of indiiduals and groups, caring for God’s world.
The mission of Project Ploughshares is to
- educate ourselves and our communities on peace and justice issues
- help Canadians understand how specific policy initiatives serve or undermine the pursuit of security
- help Canadians consider new approaches to building peace and preventing war
- promote alternative national defence policies, arms control, and nuclear disarmament
Vision of The 5 and 2 Ministries: As a body of believers in Christ our love for the Lord runs so deep that we desire to love others as completely as He loves us. In service to our community we feel called to reach out by being generous to the hungry and giving ourselves to those in need both relationally and practically. We do this giving God all the glory who has reached out His hands to us and called us out of darkness into His light. In trust and reliance that our faithfulness to His love that we be active and fruitful participants making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything God has commanded.
