At LMF, our kids are an important part of the community. Each Sunday after the children’s story, kids age 0 to 12 leave the main service for Gather ‘Round (GR). GR is a time for our kids to interact with puppets, sing, make crafts, read the Bible, learn about others, form community and grow in the ways of Jesus.
The first half of GR time is large group time followed by small groups where kids meet in age groups and are led by an adult helper from our community.
3 to 4 times a year, the children and their adults are invited to meet together outside of Sunday mornings for events that usually focus on fun, seasonal activities.
We have a lot of fun and learn a bunch being together.
Currently: September to December 2018
Over the next several months, Gather ‘Round time will revolve around three series from Shine*.
- Stories from the First Church (3 weeks) – theme verse: Ephesians 4
- Escape from Egypt (9 weeks) – theme verse: Exodus 20
- Advent (4 weeks)
Parents and Guardians are always welcome to visit our kids’ rooms after Sunday service to check out our bulletin boards and see what we’re learning.
